Since the 1st of January 2021, each payer of social insurance contribution or natural person commissioning a work will be obliged to notify Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) within 7 days of conclusion of each contract for specific work in a situation when such an agreement is concluded with a person with whom he/she is not in an employment relationship or if under such an agreement he/she does not perform work for an employer with whom he/she is in an employment relationship.
This additional requirement was introduced by one of the amendments to the Act of specific solutions related to preventing, counteracting and combating COVID-19, other infectious diseases and crisis situations caused by them and some other acts, the so-called Anti-Crisis Shield.
Is this a step towards making contract for specific work subject to social security and health insurance?
For the time being, the Anti-Crisis Shield only provides for the obligation to register such a contract in the payer’s account. But what about further?
